GameTime Cleveland #19: Cavs Split in Beantown

Same3Guys GameTime Cleveland

The Cavs were unable to sweep the Celtics in Boston. And so they head back home for what is now a best-of-three series. What went wrong in Game 4? We’ll tell you in this special edition of GameTime Cleveland.

In this episode, we’re going all four quarters with a recap of the Cavs 97-87 loss to Boston on Mothers’ Day.

  • Free throw shooting and 3-pt shooting were nearly identical for both teams, so where was this game decided?
  • Few contributions off the Cavs bench.
  • LeBron’s outside shot was not falling like it did in Game 3. And that usually spells trouble.
  • Rondo had his way with Anthony Parker. We forgot to stop his drives and force him to hit jumpers again. Arggghhhh!
  • Shaq had a strong game and kept it close for us.
  • Despite getting close in the 4th, the Cavs made too many costly turnovers and let Boston put us away when it counted at the end.

Game 5 is Tuesday at the Q. Game 6 is in Boston on Thursday.

Let’s go Cavs!!!
